Anyone can browse all listings without registering. However, to unlock the platform’s features and information source, free registration is advised.
I already registered but I am able to use the platform yet?
Salt-Trading.com manually validates each registration before admitting new users to the Salt. network. This process may take a few hours, and you will receive an email once you are approved.
I did not receive a confirmation mail after my registration?
If you haven’t received the confirmation email, check your spam folder. If it is not in your spam folder either, please contact us through the contact form.

Free users are allowed to post one listing only. It requires a paying subscription to post more listings.
My listing is not visible on the marketplace?
Every listing is manually verified before being posted, which might take up to a few hours. See the overview of validations above.
Can I modify or remove a listing?
Yes, users can easily modify and remove their listings at any time.
Can I create a listing in different currencies?
No, regardless of your local currency, listings can only be post in USD.
Payments.
Do I have the choice between different payment providers?
Payments of monthly subscription fees are handled by Stripe, salt-trading’s payment provider of choice.

Is your website secure?
Salt-Trading.com uses HTTPS protocol and certificates to protect information from being viewed by unauthorized parties. It guards against man-in-the-middle attacks and ensures bidirectional encryption of communications, safeguarding privacy and data integrity.
Does Salt-trading.com keep my password secure?
Yes, we take security very seriously, and passwords are securely stored using bcrypt password hashing, making it extremely difficult to retrieve the original password.
What personal data is shared with other members of the marketplace?
We do not share any personal data. Other members can only view your chosen alias and communicate through our built-in messaging feature. Your email address remains invisible to other users. We do not store or process credit card information. All credit card transactions are handled by Stripe, a fully PCI-compliant and trusted payment processor.
Quotes.
Can I request quotes for both products and services?
Yes — the feature supports commodity salt products as well as professional service listings.
What happens after a seller responds?
You can accept or decline the quoted offer directly from your Quote Requests dashboard.
Are quotes binding?
No. Quotes are invitations to negotiate and are not contractual commitments.
Can I see my quote history?
Yes. All incoming and outgoing requests are saved under “Quote Requests” in your dashboard.
Secure Chat
Do I need an account to send messages?
Yes. You must be registered and logged in to start or reply to conversations.
Can I message any company on the platform?
You can message any approved company that has a product, service, or profile listing.
Where can I find my conversations?
All your chats are available under “My Chats” in your dashboard.
Will I be notified of new messages?
Yes. You’ll receive an email notification whenever a new message arrives.
